Akshit Lakhani- Chairman & Managing Partner

Akshit Lakhani has diverse experience in planning and managing turnkey medical projects including managing the aspects of logistics and finance. Notable projects executed includes setting up operation theatres and ICUs for Hinduja Hospital Mahim, Apollo Group of Hospitals etc. as Director of Johnson Medial. These projects helped him gain valuable experience to understand the dynamics of hospital operations.
Akshit has also managed setting up of Dialysis Center for B. Braun Medical India Ltd under a PPP model across 15 locations in Andhra Pradesh. The project enabled B. Braun to be awarded the prestigious “Frost & Surveillance Award” towards being the Best Company for PPP project execution in India.

Akshit has also undertaken trading of Dialysis equipment and MRI equipment, coordinating the delivery and installations of these equipment in an efficient manner for timely completion of the vendor project.

Currently, Akshit is operating a chain of 6 Diagnostics centers and medical stores in Mumbai and is also engaged in Trade of Medical Equipment and Furniture.

Dr. Madan Naik – CEO

Dr Madan is a veterinarian turn-researcher who completed his doctorate in molecular genetics and post-doctorate from the University of Adelaide, Australia. He served as a visiting research fellow for research in different international research institutes and universities. Dr Madan has a vast research experience in unravelling molecular genetic pathways for the expression of different traits, proficient knowledge in population genetics using next generation sequencing technologies, clinical molecular cytogenetics, QTL mapping, animal disease modelling by gene editing, developing novel genetic assays, early drug discovery studies including pharmacogenetics, drug-gene response, real-time ligand receptor interaction studies with a special focus on proteomics and system biology approach. He is co-ownership of several patents in the molecular medicine segment.

Dr Madan worked with companies in European and Indian multinational drug research development companies in different capacities like Project Head, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He has also contributed to initiating start-up companies with a special focus on identifying the future needs of India.

 

Based on Dr Madan’s vast experience in molecular medicine and molecular imaging, he is instrumental in setting up infrastructure to develop India’s indigenous technology for medical imaging products. Dr Madan is focusing mainly on implementing advanced technology in precision and personalised medicine technology in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics for effective cancer patient therapeutic management. Dr Madan has implemented a hybrid public-private partnership model for setting up nuclear medicine, radiation oncology and radiology departments in tier 2 cities of India to offer cancer care facilities at lower rates to the under-privilege section of Indian society. His vision has altogether contributed to generating 20 M USD turnover in India and more than 120 M USD worth of benefit in the form of social ROI to the country. Currently, Dr Madan with his international team is focusing on next-generation antibody engineering technology for therapeutics and imaging which will change the dynamics of biopharmaceutical and molecular imaging technology in the human and veterinary medical field.

  • Dr Madan was a recipient of the World Bank’s CGIAR Visiting Research Fellowship in 2001 to work on the molecular genetics of trypanosome disease resistance
  • Recipient of visiting scholarship to the Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Adelaide, 2001
  • Recipient of Welcome Uniliver Physician Geneticist fellowship, Cambridge 2004.

Dr. Mohan Bhagwat – COO

Dr. Mohan Bhagwat has a combined experience of more than 25 years in research, education, eLearning, application support, business development and project management etc. in areas of biochemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, healthcare, environmental & marine sciences, food and pharmaceutical technologies.

He was working with ICRISAT (International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics), Hyderabad as scientific officer for a collaborative project between CSIRO, Australia and ICRISAT and worked for his Ph.D. thesis. He also has a diploma in business management and an executive MBA degree in operations management from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Mumbai.

He worked as International Application support & business development Manager for PSN Lifesciences International LLP, Dubai, UAE where he drove various projects with all major government agencies in UAE such as EAD, Abu Dhabi, DP world, EPDA, Dubai Municipality etc. and many leading private organizations.

He has keen interest in operations management, project management, training and business development related to healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and allied life sciences.
